We have all experienced situations in the workplace where people with different goals and needs have clashed, leading to animosity and wasted time.

 

The fact that conflict exists, however, is not necessarily a bad thing if managed correctly, and this training will give you the tools to recognise, evaluate, defuse, resolve and even learn from conflict

OBJECTIVE

To define common sources of conflict, the usual outcomes they generate and some coping mechanisms to deal with them

 Pre-course work, Case studies worked on in groups, interactive exchage of experiences

Module 1:  Welcome and overview of the training

  • Defining what, exactly, conflict is

  • Analyse the impacts of conflict

  • What is conflict management

 

Module 2: Different arenas of conflict 

  • Superior – Subordinate

  • Peer – Peer

  • Group – Group

 

Module 3:  Different causes of conflict

  • Different perceptions

  • Pressure on resources

  • Different personal values

  • Contradictory styles (and quizzes of personal style)

 

 

Conclusion:         Review of the day

30’ Pre-course e-learning + one day classroom training (8hrs)   

 

Module 4:  Different methods to manage conflict

 

Preventive measures:

 

  • Clarification of expectations and objectives

  • Recognising warning signals

 

As it happens:
