Setting a goal for a specific task is one thing, defining and organising a multitude of goals in complex projects is another.   

This training offers a method of prioritisation of objectives to give them a common theme that leads to successful project completion.

PROGRAMME Day 1

 

Welcome

  • Overview of the training days and program for day 1

 

Define clearly and realistically one’s objectives

  • Why & when is it necessary to set objectives?

  • What is a SMART objective?

  • What is the SMART3 method?

 

Define objectives using the Setting SMART3 method

  • Case studies and group exercises

  • Brainstorming on participants project goals

  • Validation of project goals

  • Transforming project goals into SMART3 objectives

 

PROGRAMME Day 2

 

Welcome

  • Debrief of day 1 and validate groups SMART3 objectives     

 

Communication of Objectives

  • Write and describe one’s objectives

  • Get objectives validated by stakeholders

  • Communicate objectives to interested parties

 

Create a plan to achieve the objectives

  • Decide what actions to take and prioritise them

  • Fix deadlines for different stages of the plan

  • Analyse the risks for the successful completion of the defined plan and prepare plan b’s & plan c’s

 

Manage the plan

  • Manage external participants in the plan

  • Prioritise daily tasks

  • Check progress and adapt

30’ pre-course learning + 2 days (16 h) classroom training + post course project
