PERFORMANCE EVLALUATION

 Inherent in the relation that bind an employee and an employer, the performance evaluation is an explicit and tool-based approach to HRM, but it is also, when managed correctly, a process whereby a company can promote its values and improve relations within a team. 

This training reviews the legal framework but focuses on the specific skills and attitudes to master to make a performance evaluation a win – win experience.

PROGRAM

 Day 1– THE LAW, THE SYSTEMS & THE PROCESS 

 

Module 1: Legal obligations for employers in France

  • Obligatory Professional Evaluation

  • Company defined performance evaluations

 

 

Module 2:  Creating performance evaluation systems

  • Define SMART performance objectives

  • Create criteria to measure those objectives

  • Recruit, train and manage according to those criteria  

  • Implement rigorous systems for formal evaluations

  • Work Group – create a performance evaluation  

 

 

Module 3:  Gathering the information for an evaluation

  • Why & Who – defining and communicating the proces

  • When, Where – organising the logistics

  • How – observation methods, feedback methods

30’ Pre-course e-learning + two days classroom training (16hrs) + post-course project   

Day 2 –  THE PERFORMANCE EVALUATION MEETING

 

Module 1: The key points for the meeting

  • Establish a climate of trust

  • Recall the purpose of the meeting

  • Set the ground rules for the meeting

  • Obtain the agreement on the evaluation 

  • Determine the new objectives together

  • Formalise the discussion in writing

 

Module 2: Behaviours during the meeting

  • Maintain a positive yet firm attitude

  • Practice empathy

  • Listen actively 

  • Question methodically

  • Observe non-verbal messages

  • Manage disagreement or conflict intelligently

 

Module 3: 

  • Exercise -  role play of an evaluation meeting
